sahnga is built on the belief that volunteering strengthens communities. These guidelines ensure that everyone — organizers, volunteers, and the communities we serve — can participate in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
All community members must treat others with respect and dignity. This includes: using inclusive language, respecting different viewpoints and experiences, accepting constructive feedback, focusing on what is best for the community, and showing empathy towards other community members.
Safety is our top priority. Organizers must provide accurate safety information, appropriate equipment, and adequate supervision. Volunteers should follow safety instructions, report hazards, and never put themselves or others at unnecessary risk. If you see something unsafe, say something.
We have zero tolerance for: harassment or bullying of any kind; discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic; violence or threats of violence; sexual harassment or unwanted advances; exploitation of volunteers, especially minors; fraudulent or deceptive event listings.
If you experience or witness a violation of these guidelines, please report it through our reporting system. All reports are reviewed promptly and kept confidential to the extent possible. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, or referral to law enforcement depending on severity.
Events listed on sahnga should: have a clear and accurate description; provide realistic time estimates and requirements; respect volunteers' time and commitments; offer a meaningful contribution to the community; comply with all applicable laws and regulations; have appropriate insurance coverage where necessary.
