What Airtable gets right
Airtable is genuinely best-in-class at what it does — a relational database anyone can build in an afternoon, with an app layer on top. And it publishes its SSO price at Business, which most of this list refuses to do. Credit for both.
The honest take
It's a database platform first, and the pricing follows that: Team is $20 a seat, Business is $45, and both carry record and automation-run ceilings — caps exist on every tier, including the paid ones. Audit logs are Enterprise Scale only. If what you need is to run projects rather than model them, you're paying database prices for a project tool you still have to build and maintain yourself.

Sahnga's arithmetic never changes: $5 a month for every maker after the first — the same rate at 10 people, at 200, at 1,000, with no tier to climb and no Enterprise number to negotiate. Airtable bills per seat the whole way up too — the difference is what the seat includes, and who never counts. Viewers, commenters, guests and clients are free on our side at any size.
The switch
Why teams switch from Airtable to Sahnga
Projects, tasks, timeline and a triage inbox that already work — nothing to model, no schema to maintain as the team changes.
$5 a person against Airtable's database pricing, with no record or automation ceilings on any plan.
Full history and audit on every plan, including Free — not reserved for the top tier.
Moving your work off Airtable
Airtable exports any view to CSV from the view menu, and Sahnga imports CSV — records become tasks, fields map across, and linked records become project structure. Lots of teams keep Airtable for the genuinely database-shaped data and move only the project tracking; that's a sensible split.

Questions
Sahnga vs Airtable FAQ
Is there a flat-priced Airtable alternative?+
Sahnga is flat where it counts — the seat, not the total: $5 for each person who creates or edits, one maker free, and that rate never climbs a tier at 10 people or 1,000. The total isn't one fixed number; it's your maker count times $5 and nothing else — no minimums, no rungs, no add-ons, and viewers, commenters, guests and clients never count. There are no tiers to climb: unmetered automations, timeline and dependencies, time tracking, full history, the API and one-click export are in every plan, including Free.
How much does Airtable cost for a team of 10?+
Ten people on Sahnga is $45 a month — $5 each with the first maker free, and unlimited viewers, guests and clients on top at no charge. Matching that feature-for-feature on Airtable means Business, which comes to about $450 a month for ten at their best published rate.
Does Sahnga import from Airtable?+
Airtable exports any view to CSV from the view menu, and Sahnga imports CSV — records become tasks, fields map across, and linked records become project structure. Lots of teams keep Airtable for the genuinely database-shaped data and move only the project tracking; that's a sensible split.
Does Airtable charge extra for SSO?+
SSO lands on Business at $45 a seat, so it's a tier climb — but Airtable publishes the price, which seven of the thirteen tools we track won't do at all. When SAML and SSO land, they're on every plan — Free included — at no extra cost. We will never charge you for logging in securely.
Does Airtable charge for guests?+
Sharing a read-only view costs nothing, but anyone who edits takes a paid seat. Sahnga's viewers, commenters, guests and clients are unlimited and free, and only people who create or edit count toward the bill.
Is Airtable a project management tool?+
It's a database you can build project management in, which is a different thing. That flexibility is its strength and its cost: you design the schema, you maintain it, and you pay database prices while doing it — with record and automation ceilings on every tier. Sahnga ships the project tool finished, with no caps to count against.
