Sahnga vs Notion at a glance
| Sahnga | Notion | |
|---|---|---|
| Advertised entry price | Free for one maker, then $5 a person | Plus — $10/user/mo |
| Price with everything included | $5 a person — the same number, because there is no tier above it | Business — $20/user/mo |
| Monthly bill for 10 people | $45 | $200 |
| SSO & SAML | On every plan when it lands — never an upcharge. We don't tax security and we never will. | SAML starts at Business |
| Guests & clients | Unlimited and free — only people who create or edit ever count | 10 guests on Free; limits climb with the tier |
| Automation & usage limits | No usage meters, anywhere. Nothing counts down. | Automations are tier-gated, and Custom Agents bill usage-style at about $10 per 1,000 credits |
| Free plan | One maker, unlimited viewers and guests, the whole feature set | 5MB uploads, 10 guests, 7 days of history — and it degrades with a second member |
| How the bill scales | $5 × your makers, flat — no tiers, no minimums, no upsells, and nothing else in the formula. | Per seat too — through the tiers and add-ons above |

What Notion gets right
Notion is unmatched for docs and wikis. Nothing else makes a company's knowledge feel this pleasant to write and read, and its database model is a genuinely original idea.
The honest take
Databases-as-project-management is where it strains. Notion's own help docs acknowledge that database performance degrades past roughly one to two thousand items, which is a normal year of work for a busy team. Free is thin — 5MB uploads, 10 guests, 7 days of page history — and it degrades further once there's a second member. SAML lands on Business, and since the standalone AI add-on was retired around May 2025, teams wanting AI get pushed from Plus to Business too, roughly doubling the seat. Custom Agents then bill usage-style at about $10 per 1,000 credits.
The bill, in plain words
Notion pricing in 2026, decoded

Sahnga's arithmetic never changes: $5 a month for every maker after the first — the same rate at 10 people, at 200, at 1,000, with no tier to climb and no Enterprise number to negotiate. Notion bills per seat the whole way up too — the difference is what the seat includes, and who never counts. Viewers, commenters, guests and clients are free on our side at any size.
The switch
Why teams switch from Notion to Sahnga
Tasks, timeline, dependencies and a triage inbox built as products — not a database you have to design first and maintain forever.
$5 a person, and nothing waiting on the tier above the one you're on — there isn't one.
Guests and clients free either way — and a full export whenever you want it, without a hostage negotiation.
Moving your work off Notion
Notion exports a workspace to Markdown and CSV from its own settings, and Sahnga imports CSV for the database side — task name, status, assignee, dates and text properties map across. Plenty of teams keep Notion for docs and move only the project databases; that's a perfectly good end state.

Questions
Sahnga vs Notion FAQ
Is there a flat-priced Notion alternative?+
Sahnga is flat where it counts — the seat, not the total: $5 for each person who creates or edits, one maker free, and that rate never climbs a tier at 10 people or 1,000. The total isn't one fixed number; it's your maker count times $5 and nothing else — no minimums, no rungs, no add-ons, and viewers, commenters, guests and clients never count. There are no tiers to climb: unmetered automations, timeline and dependencies, time tracking, full history, the API and one-click export are in every plan, including Free.
How much does Notion cost for a team of 10?+
Ten people on Sahnga is $45 a month — $5 each with the first maker free, and unlimited viewers, guests and clients on top at no charge. Matching that feature-for-feature on Notion means Business, which comes to about $200 a month for ten at their best published rate.
Does Sahnga import from Notion?+
Notion exports a workspace to Markdown and CSV from its own settings, and Sahnga imports CSV for the database side — task name, status, assignee, dates and text properties map across. Plenty of teams keep Notion for docs and move only the project databases; that's a perfectly good end state.
Does Notion charge extra for SSO?+
SAML SSO starts at Business, so getting SSO means moving up a tier rather than buying an add-on. Since the standalone AI add-on was retired around May 2025, teams that want AI get pushed to the same tier. When SAML and SSO land, they're on every plan — Free included — at no extra cost. We will never charge you for logging in securely.
Does Notion charge for guests?+
Free allows 10 guests, and the allowance climbs with the tier — which is more generous than most of this list. Sahnga goes further: viewers, commenters, guests and clients are unlimited and never count toward the bill on any plan.
Is Notion good enough for real project management?+
For a small team's roadmap, often yes. It strains when the database gets big — Notion's own help docs acknowledge performance degrading past roughly 1,000–2,000 items — and when you want dependencies, a timeline and a triage inbox that already work rather than ones you build. Sahnga ships those as products, and keeps the docs comparison honest: Notion writes better docs than we do.
